Groundworks Are Under Way at AvantGlamp as We Preserve the Woodland Magic
We’re excited to share that groundworks are now officially under way at AvantGlamp, the new luxury glamping resort coming soon to the woodlands beside the NEC Birmingham.
This marks the beginning of a truly unique project. AvantGlamp is more than a place to stay. It’s a retreat designed to blend modern comfort with the authenticity of a real woodland setting. As the first signs of progress appear on site, we want to take you behind the scenes on what’s coming, and how we’re protecting what matters most: the trees, the landscape, and the natural feel that makes this location so special.
Unlike most developments, AvantGlamp is being built with the land, not just on it. The project has been carefully planned to retain the woodland character, with the tree canopy left in place to provide shade, structure and atmosphere throughout the resort.
The first stages of work include installing essential infrastructure, preparing access paths, and setting the foundations for our accommodation. The woodland itself will remain intact. This commitment to preservation is central to our vision. When you stay at AvantGlamp, you’re not looking out at nature from afar. You’re staying within it.

Woodland Bungalows: Surrounded by trees, these cosy yet luxurious units sleep up to four and include a double bed, sofa bed, private outdoor area, Wi-Fi and ensuite bathroom
Overwater Suites: Elevated above water and featuring a private terrace with outdoor seating, these pods offer comfort, style and tranquillity
The Presidential Suite: Sleeping up to eight, this premium pod includes an over water terrace, private hot tub, spacious interior and a secluded position within the resort
Each pod is thoughtfully positioned to give guests a sense of space, calm and immersion in nature without compromising on convenience.
